Bird seed recall

The peanut-products recall now extends even to bird seed. Jim Williams has a list of products that you don’t want to be feeding your birds in the blog he writes for the Minneapolis Star Tribune. You can see it here: blogs2.startribune.com/blogs/wingnut/

  1. John, after reading your post on the recall and doing a little research of my own I found that not all birdseed that contains peanuts is up for recall.I know of one that states that they have been in close contact with all of their suppliers and their products that contain peanuts, suet included, do not contain peanuts or peanut products from Peanut Corporation of America. I think if people have questions they should talk to the people they buy their birdfeeding supplies from. I am sure they would be happy to help put their fears at ease.

  2. Agreed. People should check the list that’s on Jim Williams’ blog. It’s a very limited number of products. I don’t think there’s any reason for concern about any product that’s not on that list.
