The general shape, as well as the bill shape, remind me of an Eastern Phoebe. But the black belly has me baffled . . .
I’m so anxious for the experts imput on this one. Looks like the Phoebe got mixed up with a Myrtle warbler– even changes in pigmentation shouldn’t result in this..keep looking for answers and I’d be so happy to hear your results.
Thanks everyone for the help identifying the bird. After your help, and Laura’s comments, and spotting two pheobes, less the black belly, on Sunday, I have go with eastern pheobe also.
