Waxwing die-off

You may have seen pictures in the Duluth News Tribune and in our social media sites in recent days of a flock of beautiful Bohemian waxwings in the downtown Duluth and Central Hillside areas.
Sadly, a number of those waxwings died off on Monday.
Jennifer Flynn tells me that people at Minnesota Power observed the waxwings snacking from a tree and then flying, one at a time, into the brick building. They ended up on the Minnesota Power Plaza.
